I grew up in the north woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior. From a young age I was enthralled with the beauty around me and wanted to capture some of it. When I was around 30 I discovered watercolor and have been working with it ever since. I paint a variety of images and enjoy light, shadow and details.
I have a B.A. in Secondary Art Education and an M.A. in Elementary Education. I am a signature member of Colorado Watercolor Society and Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Association. I also belong to National Watercolor Society, Mountainside Art Guild, Arvada Fine Arts Guild, Lakewood Arts Council and Foohills Art Center.
Some of my other interests include family, friends, church community, flower gardening, reading, walking and travel.
